This book reminds me of The Suits - high class lawyer, Harvard, Associates & Partner and scandal among the lawyers...opps hahaha

Payton Kendall [Payton] and J.D Jameson [J.D] are senior litigation associates at a top law firm. Both are workaholics and very competitive. For eight years they kept a distance for one reason: to make partner at the firm. Unfortunately that year, the firm has decided that only one partnership will be offered. So here the conflict cause when they’ve been assigned to deal with one major case, neither of these two expects to start falling for each other.

I like the way the author portrays J.D’s character of being romantic in his own way. Cocky, yeah he was born with a silver spoon..so what do you expect from him? But all the way, he has fought hard to be on the top. Meanwhile, Payton is well-developed heroin. Being an independent woman, ambitious, yet lovable and not to forget ‘button-pushing,’ as J.D preferred to call her hahaha

Though it was cliche love-hate relationship, it still a good reading. Sweet without being sugary and a bit hilarious towards ending. And I really love the ending. Unexpected. *wink*

Happy reading (^-<)
